Today, through the advanced technology of this world, we are exposed to news almost immediately. Journalism, communication or storytelling help people navigate grief and crisis as they utilize available resources. We must be cautious moving forward when partaking in our own research and spreading news through word of mouth due to the rapid spread of fake news.
It is of utmost importance that during these times when my own strength and resilience are lacking, I find a Christ-centered community and put my trust in my Heavenly Father, my ultimate source of peace and hope. It is through my relationship with Christ alone that I am able to be resilient, have courage, trust and be at peace in times of such anguish. As the Bible says in Ecclesiastes 4:9, “two are better than one,” so a community is where I will be found.

A community provides a network of support, offering emotional comfort, practical advice and a sense of belonging when individuals are most vulnerable. This collective strength enables quicker recovery and healing, reinforcing the idea that together, a community can overcome even the most devastating circumstances. This truth is why many students at Liberty University gather together every week to worship and call out to God with praises or requests regarding oneself or looking out for others.
No matter what this corrupt world brings, believers in Christ should not fear death but fear the Lord, for we have an open invitation into the Kingdom of God. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Therefore, as a believer, I am privileged and honored to experience the Lord’s never-changing, unconditional, love and grace.
